Knowing that I am heading home in a car with very little ground clearance, but the last half mile is a snow and ice covered :( , pot holed strewn mess with a newly ice crusted high centre ridge caused by today's traffic dislodging the snow/slush/ice boulders from the driven tracks :( :(

How do I know this...because the misses just told me I will have fun tonight, and I am pretty sure that won't happen when I enter my house, so she must mean the driveway :???

Sorry to hear it mate. Surely there's something you can do? Park elsewhere, modify the sidestand, tie it down? Somebody on here should be able to help. Not knowing the mode of parking/falling it's difficult to say. Can you elaborate?

Cheers Gazza,

I am due to move to a new house in the next few months which will have a garage and should this problem! Unfortunately my current property is in a really exposed location, and as far as the wind is concerned there really is nowhere significantly better to park that is still close by / as safe.

Being a rented property there is no/little modifications I can make which will reduce such an occurrence without being a permanent modification (I have given so many ideas consideration but my lovely neighbours would soon be writing letters of complaints and it’s just not worth the hassle)

As a temporary solution it is parked in a push bike shed at the moment but it’s an awful faff trying to get the bike in and out due to its stupid location!

First world problems eh, how I suffer… :log

Thanks, yeah came off in one of the morning sessions in the wet as did two others on the same lap I believe. It started pouring and I should have come in to be honest.

Been there done that didn't even have the excuse of the rain, I'm sure Arron will be along shortly to remind me in more detail. :oops

Hopefully it was a clean break and heels OK, just remember Codine and a couple of beers work wonders for the pain ;)

For pain relief, Co-Codamol + Ibuprofen together is excellent (yes, the pharmacist says you can take these together). You're not supposed to take Co-Codamol for more than a few days as it can be habit forming, but every four weeks I know someone who takes them and raves about the combo :P

Hope you get better soon mate :)

People who can't be bothered to do at least the first two of the following: MIRROR, SIGNAL, MANOEUVRE!!

ECG is peaking after two very near misses today, all accredited to drivers manoeuvring without warning..

Being 999'd to hospital on my birthday at the end of August (not biking related) and pretty much writing off the whole of September recovering - still, five weeks later and I'm just about feeling human again at least. One more week before I can return to work.
