Feels like autumn out there already. I was glad of the heated grips on the ride into work this morning.

When does autumn actually start and the joys of we leaves on the road begins?

Not far off then. Some of the leaves are already starting to change colour.

I have the thermal lining in my jacket but still had to throw on an extra base layer this morning as my arms felp pretty cold on the run home last night. Thank goodness I did as it was a wee bit windy!

It was a bit fresh this morning, but not unpleasant.
I had to close the front vents on my jacket, and I am thinking of finding the thermal layer to refit it again.

But what a great run into work.

Just the right amount of cloud to keep the sun out of my eyes.

Not to many damp patches, and most were on the straights.

Sometimes I just click into a high gear and plod along, but not today, it was not a heretic blast, just a run where the gear changes were all smooth and the engine was always in the right band at the right time and blended in with the corners…sweet :biggrin2 :biggrin2 :biggrin2

Shame, but that happy zone I was in got proper fecked once I arrived at the edge of the big city :???

Well the trees seem to have decided it is autumn a few days early. I noticed a lot of leaves blowing about the road this morning on my ride into work.

As usual for MOT day it looks like it is going to be raining this afternoon. :log

I actually like riding in the rain these days. I enjoy trying to be smooth, but fast. The waterproofs are so good these days. Many years ago with my old Belstaff and crappy leggings, gloves etc it was a wee bit different.

In the cold I spent many an hour in motorway service stations warming everything up under the hand dryers. A good way to keep warm feet was to lay along the bike and hang your toes over the exhausts. I also leaned to drive the bike with either hand controlling the throttle. The remaining hand rested on the hot cylinder head. :cool

Exaclty. Which is why wet riding is so much fun these days. No need to find some secret spot to go off road for a bit of slippy slidey. :P

Proper cold this morning. It's the first morning this autumn I've seen the temperature drop below the magic 7 degrees. I was glad I chose to put on my heated vest! :cool
