Post by Dave »

It is that orrible time of year when my bike insurance is due

The was a big hike in the renewal quote from last year’s cost, so I am now shopping around.

I have a multi-bike policy with eBike. Their on-line system is no longer an on-line system and you have to call them. I have all modifications declared on both bikes. My insurance is due next month so I will see if it has increased soon enough.

I've been with MCE for years and have no complaints. They almost always come up as the cheapest company (for me) on the comparison websites. :2up

MCE are always the cheapest quote for me and tend to be for other folk. But when you make a claim they are a nightmare to deal with. Not been with them for two years and won't be going back.

Currently with Lexham Insurance, only downside to the policy is that I'm not insured to ride other bikes under third party cover. Which means no more shots on my dads Gay Blade :roll

That is pretty much standard these days. If you want it you have to specifically ask for it. One thing to be careful of is if you have it one year it can dissapear when you renew the same policy. You may have to ask for it to be added every year when you renew the same policy.

Carole Nash quoted me unhappy £288 Pan13 & GSX14, full no claims, clean licence blah blah, was £150 2 years ago, last years was a mess with me swapping bikes over so unsure of costs.

I wont be recommending Hastings at this rate... all insurance companies are fine unless you have to talk to them on renewal. :angryfire
