Knockhill

Post by cpjw »

Hey guys. I'm off to Knockhill for the BSB next month - first time at a race and first time at Knockhill. Does anyone have any tips on where to stand/sit? And on the subject of sitting, is there any seating anywhere? My back will never hold up to standing all day ;)

There's a stand at the exit from the hairpin. There's usually plenty of action there, both coming into and leaving it.

Duffus dip is also a good view spot. Plenty of misadventures at the end of the main straight. Haven't been for a while, but can't remember any seating being there.

Have fun. BSB is usually a good day. Take something to keep you dry and warm.

The only seating at Knockhill are the no back bench type things down at the hairpin. Good view of the track and usually a big screen for BSB. Other than that the rest of the track is reachable with good spectator banking all the way round now. Try Scotsmans, the chicane and clarks corners for a great view of over half the track. Sadly I won't be there this year.

It's definitely best to lap the track a couple times throughout the day so you can see the action from all angles.

We were a crash magnet last time I was there, at one point there were 6 bikes piled up at the fence right in front of us. :log
