Biker safety...

Post by Dave »

I just had a look online at easily available ways to improve biking skills which should make biking safer.

A great site is:
http://think.direct.gov.uk/motorcycle-training.html
This basically lists the major recognised organisations.
Successfully pass some of the tests from these organisations may make you a safer rider, and also you may get a discount on your insurance.

Bikesafe is a well-known and respected bike training one day course.
Or should I say it is well known everywhere else in the UK apart from Scotland.
Bikesafe also has a list of links to biker safety related sites:
http://www.bikesafe.co.uk/links/

The very sad thing is when trying to find our local Bikesafe training, the nearest location is in England.
Go to:
http://www.bikesafe.co.uk/about/map/
Type in your post code, hit "return", now zoom out...

This is what I got:

Bike safe while started here is no longer supported by police Scotland I understand as they no longer want to be involved in promotion only in enforcement.

For anyone interested in the IAM drop an email to gordonam.info@btinternet.com :2up
