It was mentioned by someone that the Aviemore petrol station had (or is going to be) closed.

Anyone know if this is true ?

Yes it is closing if not already closed. Will be out of service for 5 months.

The closest places to fill up are Newtonmore, Carrbridge and Grantown on Spey.

At least I should be able to pick up a gluten free sandwhich in the Highlands now!

Went past Aviemore on Tuesday and the place was leveled.....could be out for more than 4 months

Apparently it will be open over the weekend of the 24th Aug for petrol only to cover thunder in the Glen and All those peanut sized Harley tanks
