Rubber...

Post by Dave »

Just done my first change out of tyres on the FJR1300
The bike has about 22.5k miles, 4.5k by me.

Surprisingly the front and rear had relativity even wear.

I am not sure if this is my a change in riding style, the way the bike is balanced, or a combination of both.
Probably a combination of both, as when riding different bikes I can I feel myself riding differently, and the FJR is a nice sensible bike.

When a KTM990 Adventure was my main commuting bike, I can remember going thru three rears to one front, even then often the front was still legal but the blocks were deformed lots :log :???

I got 65 miles out of my last rear tyre before getting a fairly monstrous puncture.

Wasn't at all impressed. :evil
