new chain and sprockets?

Post by Crashgoggz »

Looks like I'll need a new chain before the MOT (end of the month), Any recomendations for an SV650s.

Is this an easy DIY job.

Or would I be better getting a garage to do it?

Sprockets are easy to do, it is the chain that can be a PITA.

A good chain riviter will make the job much easier - also finding someone who is willing to help you (preferably someone who has done it before) may be invaluable the first time that you swap a chain over.

What you really need is an electric impact wrench.

I'd go for that mate if you've got someone who's willing to show you how to do it. Then you will be able to do it yourself next time.

The list never seems to get any smaller. Once you think you have everything something else pops into your head.

Just like bills. Once you think you've done them all. There is another.
