Funny Jingling sound...

Post by ChrisR1 »

went out for a good blast this afternoon, but experienced a really peculair sound when i was right up the rev range, it sounded like a set of keys being jangled/vibrated fast inside the front fairing area!? (it wasnt my bike keys tho!)

doesn't happen at lower revs, and the bike pulls clean all the way to the limiter, any ideas? is it just a gsxr quirk?

bike is a 2004 GSXR 750 K4.

hope someone can advise, thanks for looking

Have you looked for Indian asylum seekers hiding under the fairing?

think the turbans would get caught in the chain! and the rattling noise would be more of a bud-ding bud-ding i reckon.

anyone able to answer whether its safe to ride til next week with rattly CCT?

well it ended up being that the allen bolt and bloody washer for the steering damper was a little loose!!

strange fault anyway.
