Engine noise?!

Post by Rhemus »

Hi guys

Looking for some advice on an 03 CBR900RR I recently acquired. It seems to make a rapid tapping noise from the engine. I spoke to the Honda 'master mechanic' and he assured me it was the air intake system opening and closing, and totally normal... it jus seems a little loud and a bit unsettling :(

Any thoughts, advice, reassurance would be appreciated!

:cheers

Cam chain tensioner.

Get it changed asap.

The one on my old CBr600f was made of cheeze.

Best bet is to swing past a bike shop and have a mechanic confirm, but it is an easy replacement job.
