Basic Maintenance Course

Post by flippineck »

If you are interested in learning more about your bike and what you can do to keep it running and save money on servicing, please add your name to this thread.

Depending on numbers I will setup a G-spot for evening and Saturday sessions.

We will cover

Electrics
Brakes
Engine/Clutch
Carbs
Suspension.

Having just been through this training I can 100% recommend it.

It is great knowing what you are tallking about, and how to get a temporary fix to get home. And the best bit you can always use the phrase "alex says..." works a treat :log

right looks like we have a go'er then.

Class's will run for about 2 hours over 2 or 3 weeks.

Probably looking at 4 per course so we can all work on a bike (either my X11 or the Mean Streak or the Triumph for bikerchick) owners own by arrangement pm me.

I will do a course in the evenings (Tuesday) and a course on Saturday Afternoons hopefully we can work everyone into one or the other course.

I've got some hols coming so we will be looking to start in Nov.

If you have any specific dietary needs or medical conditions - tough it's tea and a biccie take it or leave it.

Final exam is 2 hour written test and 3 hour practical and the jokes are pretty bad even for me.

I take no responsibility for any and all parts that will eventually fall off your bike

I will post soon with details of each session and start date and we can sort out which evening/afternoon suits everyone.
