Re: All hail the king
The thing that has always impressed me about Vale is that not only is he probably the greatest motorcyclist I've ever had the pleasure to watch, he's also fun and very rarely shows any malice when defeated. He has done no end of good for the sport overall, in the same way that Barry Sheene did a few decades ago.
We hear lots of stories about misery guts riders like Stoner and Pedrosa, but that's one of the reasons they are so good. Their whole being is about winning and they hate losing. Without that focus they wouldn't be so fast.
Somehow Rossi has manged to be both a great winner and a great loser.
I'm so glad he never went to F1. I hope he stays with MotoGP for many years as he will be a great loss when he leaves.

True, I think the reason is he is just so gifted therefore he doesnt need to concentrate or train has hard as the others. I think he would be happy even if he was a scaffy.Gazza wrote:The thing that has always impressed me about Vale is that not only is he probably the greatest motorcyclist I've ever had the pleasure to watch, he's also fun and very rarely shows any malice when defeated. Yeah, and they all finished in the top ten in that race.

Probably, Rossi, Edwards and Dovy (he is just nuts!!) are the only guys to catch falls like that in current lineup.
Racing gods.
JT was dong well to, but Dovitzioso's move on him and Jorge was amazing

Re: All hail the king
Just watched the GP and it really was an entertaining race.
Things are going to be interesting for next season with the one tyre rule and several of the big teams shifting riders.
Nicky haden mentioned in the post race interview that it was his decision to go with the softer tyre against team / tyre people recomendations as he was not happy with the harder compound one . still an outstanding last 5 laps from all in the top 6
