Going for a raod trip this weekend with the missus. I went to adjust the preload up a couple of clicks so we stop bouncing so much (on the road boys) but I dont seem to have the tool to do it with in the tool bag.
The other lot we are going with are on a 98 VFR and that one seems to be different in the fact I cant get it to grip to turn the ring (naming not my strong point here)
Has anyone got one of these so I can sort this? Its not a massive problem, we have driven up around elgin etc no issues I just want to lose the bounce on the dual carrigeways.
Would need to be this evening or Friday day time if anyone can help
Cheers
Kev
Anyone got a VFR 800 2000 preload adjuster tool thingy?

Is it a C-spanner you're looking for? I have one that I bought for m y GSX-R600... it might fit.
You're welcome to try!

Cheers chaps, either of you live in the Deen?
The only time I have now before we leave is Friday daytime, which probably wont be much use to you.
Its not a big deal, I just cant see it being good for the bike with the extra bounce on it, especially as I will have luggage this weekend.
guess time will tell though eh

If time is a bit short feel free to fire out to Ellon and I can give you a shot of the spanner.
It will only take 5 mins to adjust up the preload.
I am off this week so just give pm to sort out a suitable time.
(However I may be heading to Glasgow later in the week so be quick if you need a shot)
