Anybody used the PLace PCS in Inverurie for powder coating before?
Ive just put my back wheel in to be done.

you should be quite impressed by the work. I've had quite a few bit off my bike and cars powder coated by them and they are also pretty good with carbon fibre work.

How much they charging, Is it a bearing out, shot blast and coat job?

They do a good job.

Yes Shrek, you do need to remove the bearings before taking your wheels in. They do the rest.

Yes tyre,bearings etc off (i had a nail in tyre so good time to do it!! Must be the bike eh SHREK its jinxed by you :eek :P ) Blast,Powder Coat and laquer £30 so will post how it goes.

That sounds not too bad, I have a spare rear wheel that I've not put the bearings in yet maybe nip out with it.
How long did they say it would take ?

Turned around in 3 days if not busy. They do a nice Kawasaki purple :)

Yep as Backs 400 said 2-3 days Thats the colour im getting Cadburys Purple looks good match for the original Kawa colour in the box :eye will have to see what it looks like on.
Phoned today but the guy who does the spraying is off sick so dont think ill get it back till monday now :??? No bike and loads of sun :cool just my luck!! :(

Baldy,
The colour is really nice. They mentioned they may be able to do a metallic version...now that would be nice since the purple on my old ZXR was metallic..would match perfect :)

Got whhel back this afternoon cracking job :-) looks to be a perfect match a little darker than original but well worth the 30 quid!! I asked when i was there if any discounts for us lot and they said they might nock off some for two wheels :2up Got tyre refitted by Sillets but didnt get it balanced as no bearings etc fitted do i need to get it done or will it be ok as its the rear :???

I would suggest you get the wheel balanced. You may be lucky, but then again the extra vibration may result in problems elsewhere (apart from the obvious handling issues). Better safe than sorry and it shouldn't cost a lot.
