I hear ya. I had some wierd poo go on with my Zephyr wheels a couple of years ago. NOTHING removed whatever the f*ck it was. Ended up powder-coating giving me some time to raise some funds to chrome-plate

I just uncovered the Monster for the first time since last November and fired it up. Started no problem and still looks in good nick. A quick soak in Scottoiler protector spray and back on with the covers till the salt is off the road.

The poor Versys is seeing all the action at the moment but the Scotoiler spray is doing its job nicely. Just need to get the scottoiler fitted for the chain.

I've got much the same problem with my speedmasters wheels. They've gone all spotty and it's a bugger to clean. I cleaned them as best I could and then slathered them wi acf50. They're no much better but they're no any worse. Planning on having them powdercoated at some point, thinking a dark red.

I thought you cruiser boys would know that the best way to protect your rims from pitting and cracking is to use a good coating of Vaseline. Apply a good thick coating as you never know when you'll need an extra bit of lubrication!

You and yer shiny feckin wheels! I tend to approach cleaning as more of a seasonal thing. I like to wash it on a good, calm day.
