2 stroke servicing

Post by Cossackmannie »

There was someone advertising on Gumtree recently offering servicing for 2 strokes. Has anyone on here used this service? If so, do you have a contact number as it looks like the advert has been deleted.

Cheers

I'd also heard the same Bob.

Also, just realised a bit more detail of what I'm after wouldn't go amiss.

It's a DT175MX that I've almost finished refurbing. It only has 3.5k on the clocks so I haven't opened the motor up yet. The clutch isn't working which I'm assuming is either stuck plates or one /both of the pushrods or ball bearing is faulty. As the O/S cover would have to be removed, I'm figuring it'd be prudent to replace the crank, kickstart and oil pump seals in the process.
Then I'd like everything set and adjusted so it runs sweet.

Here it is so far.

Nice I had one of those as a kid, bought it for a tenner off an old jakie that lived up the street who'd had it in the garage for years i cleaned out the carbs and she ran sweet was never in as good nick as that though, was used mainly for jumping ramps and falling off when I had it! happy days :freebird
