A sad day...my poor topbox...

Post by Dave »

Yesterday was a sad day for me, after about 8 years, 4 different bikes, 80000 used miles...@ I noticed that my topbox has developed a large crack :(

It is on the base of the box, the crack is about the same shape as the profile as most of the mounting plates ...poor wee topbox

It has carried my works laptop on many hundreds of journeys, looked after my lid so many times, transported much needed beer to my home on many an urgent need...bye bye topbox, I will miss you :( :(

No good I am afraid, tried it, along with araldite, butane, lighter fuel, paint thinners, petrol, beer and whisky.

No matter what I try, I still feel a bit sad.

Try a glass fibre bandage from a car body repair kit? If you still get such things. Must be getting on..

Boat, hmmm. Perhaps more of an old landrover than a boat ;)
