2018...biking plans...
Here we are at the start of 2018.
Anyone got any bkke related plans ?
Me, more riding is my aim.
The last couple of year have some biking highs and lows, but now i have bikes that are suited to the style of riding i wish to do.
Nice relaxed runs is my aim.
Now the main bikes have satnav, so it might be easier to see where i have not been in the best country on our planet, then add those locations to the ride to list.
Also i am planning to use thus forum more often again.
I find forums easier to find tips and ask questions, then refer to them later.
Social media is great for some things, but i fear it has fragmented a lot of the good things in the biking community.
And before anyone asks, i am not planning on changing or getting any additional bikes this year

Re: 2018...biking plans...
Well I have kicked off 2018 by simplifying my garage and dropping down to one bike.
Now I just need to have a clear out of all the many bike parts I have lying around for the various bikes I have owned over the last 20 years!

As for the clearout, I estimate that could take another 20 years

Re: 2018...biking plans...
Needed a quick sale so it went to webuyanybike.
Cleared up space in the garage and in my head so I can focus my attention on the V-Strom.
I do have a preference for the Adventure style bikes. It would be interesting to test ride some more this year to see how they compare to the V-Strom which, at the moment, does everything I need a bike to do.

Funny you should say that, I have just discovered Talisker! I previously never went near it as I somehow thought it would be like your paint stripper Laphroaig but it really is lovely.Zathos wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 9:46 pmYe gods......Big Kneed Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 1:28 pmWhy not go the whole hog and put blue wheels on it!

Re: 2018...biking plans...
True and with my brain engaged i recall after test riding the '17 model that it was far too focused, firm and only gave good feedback when riding very hard. I concluded the S would be the better option. But all the additional features on the 2018 model and the extra bling certainly stirs the heart.Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 8:19 pm Looks just like the old one.
