Frame Protecters/Sliders

Post by derek955i »

I am currently shopping for a pair of the above,I have read and heard reports about some brands that have caused damage, due to snapping or failing than was intended.

I have been looking at GSG MOKO (£66.00)which fit my Speed Triple, they are at least twice the price of similar mushrooms but maybe there is some truth in you pay for what you get?

Unfortunately Top Block(£80.00) dont do fitment for my model.

Any feedback welcomed.

Get what you pay for in my opinion, althought there a several trains of thought on crash bungs causing more damage than they save, bent frames etc, personally I have had good experiences from them, saved 90% of my FirePlace panels when dropped :eek

Try R&G Racing http://www.rg-racing.com/

I've seen some bikes saved by them I've seen other bikes destroyed and the crash bungs not even touched! It depends on how the bike falls really.

You could always go for kevlar/carbon engine covers withouth any of the "I'm a learner so have to have stablisers on my bike" look instead - http://www.enginearmour.net/

And you can also get nylon bar weights/ends if you look around.
