Where to buy fork seals?

Need a new set of seals for a 955 Sprint STD, went into Shirlaws today but they don't keep them in stock (and wanted a lot for them). So anyone know where else I'd be likely to get a pair, Hein Gericke, etc.

Could order off ebay, etc. but would rather get them tomorrow so I can crack on while I'm in the mood.

Ta.

I'd only fit OEM to be honest.Have fitted some of the ebay jobbies in the past, for them to leak, twice in fact. Can only assume they're inferior material or the spec is not up to scratch.About half the price so not much to be gained price wise either.

Thanks. Got plenty to keep me going with this thing anyway, so I'll look online. Not sure who makes these forks but they're one step up from leaf springs.

I used to get all my TT600 spare from Jack Lilley mail order.

Thanks Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian). Got a mate with a trade account with Hi-Level who do loads of pattern stuff, so he's getting me prices. Just hope the forks aren't too pitted.

You would think that a dealer would keep some items in stock for what they sell. I got quoted 3 weeks for a brake master cylinder for the Aprilia!! I went online and managed to get a next day delivery for much cheaper than what was quoted from our Aberdeen dealer. Shocking.

Even if Ecosse dont have an item in stock, they get it within a day or two.

Aprilia are not exactly renowned for their spare parts back up.
When i had my 05 RSV Factory, there was a recall to fit new swingarms. Aprilia could supply the swingarm, but not the chain. After 3 months, Shirlaws supplied the chain themselves.

It's not always a problem with the bealer but the manufacturer themselves. It took 6 months to get replacement engine bars for my Tenere and only got those when I paid the difference to get aftermarket ones instead of the Yamaha parts.

If you get the seal out go to Scott Bearings in Dyce. Top quality stuff a hell of a lot cheaper than over priced OEM stuff (and prob made by the same, or superior manufacturer) got a seal for for my R1 forks for £5 (I think) Didnt have in stock but had up next day.
