My Dunlop Roadsmarts are nearing there life expectancy at the moment, they really have been great tyres leaving me with no criticisms or a bad word to say about them.. I was going to be replacing them for the same until i heard the Michelin pilot two's where mentioned as being a great tyre at around the same if not less monies...

Any one got any opinions on the pilots?

I asked about the 3's a month ago at silletts and the feedback was very good in the wet but wear quickly in the dry. Might be a good punt if you're planning on riding all through winter?

I've had 2's since I got the SV, never had a problem with grip (until it was bald).
Done about 2 years (over 8000miles) on it and it seems like its got plenty of life left.

Did switch to the 2Ct for the front this year for more front end stickyness, again done about 4000 mile on it so far and had no issues.

Craigton tyres are worth a shout if your looking for advice on tyres too. PM coops and see what they say.

I've used pilot road 2's on my Fazer previously and really liked them (have roadsmarts on now and have been equally happy with them). The PR2's were great for riding all year round in all conditions (except ice - I don't do ice), lasted well - would be interesting to try the PR3's though.

I have a set on my bike Andy.

Great tyres, and when I actually do see a corner in London you can bank into it really nicely on them. Prefer them to my old bridgestone BTR's

Check with Neil at Craigston, there was a deal on a set when I picked mine up.

He has the same deal now and Duncan the SBB guy was recomending them also... its a saving of about 15 bucks so nothing to write home about really but worth a go if they come reccomended :)
