Start Issues with Striple

Tried to fire up the bike the other day and noticed it wasn't taking to life as sharp as always.

after a few wee trips in the town i came out to start the bike and got no ignition and a few clicks.. AA roadside assistance came and jolted the bike and boost charged me while idling for 15 minutes. tried to restart and had same issue. We came to conclusion that the battery was on its way out but strangely it had positive charge and didn't dip when starting etc... (New battery this year) AA chap got me bump started again and i went to straight to Ecosse to get a new battery while i was mobile...

New battery installed and fully charged / old one charging at home on optimate.. but im noticing the bike just doesn't fire up like normal and i fear it may die out again..

All electrics seem to be working and no loose connections etc.. did a search online and read some vague posts about dodgy OEM rectifiers installed on street triples 2007 and above..

Not knowing much about these... im starting to wonder if i have a problematic unit?? Does any one know of any tests I can do to verify this is the case?

Appreciate any advice any one might have. :2up

Google tells me the rectifier/regulator is a common issue, and may be replaced under warranty by Triumph. First link seems to be the most comprehensive. Sure I could give you a hand if you're not keen to dive in and poke about.
