Righto. I have a spare Tomtom Go 520 and I want to fix it to my bike.
Can anyone recommend a particular type of brand c/w waterproof cover?
I don't want cheap, I want quality.
I should have said that when I asked for advice on a good TV box. Some skateboarder on here recommended BT.
It lasted 2 days before I ordered a Sky system and now I'm paying for two as I'm contacted to the BT heap of shizzle until January.

Re: Satnav help
I've always used a bike specific Garmin Zumo GPS so can't give you a personal recommendation. However I rate the kit from Givi and SW Motech who both offer solutions for monting non-bike GPS systems.Gazza wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2017 11:57 am Righto. Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian).
P.S. As far as TV is concerned, I recommend Plus-Net and the Now TV service (50Mb+ broadband & BT Sport and Eurosport on HD with a hard disk recorder with the facility to set recordings from my phone).

Re: Satnav help
PlusNet all the way
Re satnav I went bike specific to get the waterproofing built in. Not convinced a cover is going to be readable in pissing rain and it will limit effective touch screen control.
However why not try a simple zip seal freezer bag and standard in car mount using a ball gimbal to fix it to the handlebars. Touratech have lost of nice options and one will fit your bar diameter.
Just be prepared to spend lots on associated 'need to have' toys.

Re: Satnav help
Cheers guys.
I'm not too worried about reading the say nav in the rain as I can find my way to just about anywhere in the UK from memory. I just need the sat nav for final location in towns etc.
I'll check out the recommendations.
On the TV front, if PlusNet doesn't come on immediately you switch channels I'm not interested. Call me old fashioned but telly's have been doing that since I was a kid and that was a very long time ago.
I'm happy with Sky Q and even though I don't get the MotoGP, I do use the almost redundant BT box for that. Alternatively I'm signed up for video access on the MotoGP website due to me working away a lot. A very excellent service it is too.
