!! NEED HELP!!!

I washed my bike. After washing it she turned twice but then it stopped turning over and all I get now is when I press the starter I get a chattering sound which seems to be coming from below the battery housing and it wont turn the engine over at all. :oops

Any suggestions so I can narrow it down to a component or if you have experienced this before and sorted it any advice will be welcome.

Could have a slight earth leakage (caused by the washing down), preventing full electrical power from getting to your starter. Disconnect and trickle charge the battery whilst it all dries out. You never know your luck.

Don't ever use a boost charger btw as it's a good way of reducing battery life.

Don't know if you used a pressure washer, but you have to be careful with them around any electrical components and wiring etc.

Could be something as simple as a loose battery terminal or connector on the starter/solonoid.
