Name and praise / shame
I think we need to keep up to date with exactly who is / isn't biker friendly... Sometimes they forget that some of us might come back another day in the car with the family. If we are not welcome on the bike then I don't want to give them my custom when I am out in the car.
So, lets not just say "a couple of places in Deeside locked door on us"..... name the place.
Likewise name the good-guys too, and we can make more use of them

Re: Name and praise / shame
I have to say since being in Scotland (2 years), I as a biker and a Norfolkien I've always felt welcomed where ever I have parked up for tea, lunch, B&B and hotels.
Scotland is biker heaven.
England on the other hand is not so cool about such things.
So, I only have praise

Coming from an Englishman, that means alot Swampy!!
Have not encountered any hostility from establishments.
Had some ar5ehole neighbours that thought they owned the street. I was kinda popular with them!!

In Scotland, if an establishment isn't up to the task of serving bikers, it is swiftly destroyed and brushed under the heather. Leaving nothing but 1 guy in a kilt to welcome the next wave of scoots coming along that way . . .swampy wrote:I have to say since being in Scotland (2 years), I as a biker and a Norfolkien I've always felt welcomed where ever I have parked up for tea, lunch, B&B and hotels.

It's taken many years and many (non bikers) lives to get to where we are today in Scotland. . .
So be grateful dear Englishman as it was not an easy battle

Look here... I'm not from England, I'm from Norfolk. It's an entirely different place with its own rules and customary paractices.
Little ole Norfolk is an out of the way place that doesn't get bothered much about much, except the sexual health of farm animals and the like
Back to topic: biker friendly establishments in Scotland...
... spot a man on the side of the road with nothing but a kilt. Don't stop there (apparently)
