Boots

Post by dazmac »

Who has them?

I went to buy a pair of SMX5 WP boots teh otehr week, nobody had them in stock in my size. I wanted teh waterproof version and the coinage was burning holes in my pocket.

Nearly came away with a pair of SMX 5 boots, or the SMX plus? Whats the difference that people find? Are the Waterproof gortex type too warm in the summer?

Ive had the SMX boots before and found them to be great. They will be back in stock by the time I am home I jsut need to decide?

Comfort and ability to change gear and push the side-stand down wins my vote

I tried the non-gore versions as a summer boot and the felt really comfortable and well armoured. My problem was i couldn't get the zips up past my incredibly muscular calfs ;)

I ended up with Sidi Corsas as they have expandable sections to allow for fat calves but the Alpinestars get a thumbs up from me. My mate has a pair and he rates them :2up

Try Lidle and Aldi. Good quality boots for under £40. Good range of bike gear. Helmets, jackets. trousers, gloves, etc.
