Scarborough Gold Cup 2012

Post by bill.m »

Just back from a weekend in Scarborough watching the Gold Cup racing. Hadn't been there for nigh on twenty years and although the town has changed the track hasn't (well maybe just a wee bit). Lovely town with a great atmosphere when all the bikers are in town. The circuit at Olivers Mount is a proper road race circuit, they just shut the roads round the park for the weekend, zero run off, thousands of trees and poles to hit, proper scary! I took some photos to let you see what the place is like.

Highly recommended for something different. I won't wait twenty years to go back!

Great pics....think I will add this to my list of "must go to" events for next year. Just a pity Ryan Farqhuar has retired :(. Great results for Craig tho, especially in the super twins :2up
