Stolen - Orange Street Triple R, Holburn, SV59 UXC

Post by Dee »

Just saw on Facebook that a friends bike has been stolen last night from the Holburn Street area in Aberdeen.

Street Triple R, matt orange, Arrow cans
SV59 UXC

He's only had it a couple of months. :(

If you have any information or have seen it, reply here or let me know and I'll pass the info on to him/the police.

Thanks!

Shocking number of bike thefts recently. Of course there have always been thefts, as long as there are scumbags willing to do so, rather than work to earn the means to buy their own there will be, but it seems like any everyday occurrence now. Could be that the speed of reporting via the internet makes it seem like it's on the rise, but anyone who has to park a bike on the street or anywhere not seriously secured must be nervous every time they walk away from their pride and joy, whether it's chained up, alarmed or otherwise. Can only hope that enough of the thieving f***ers wipe themselves out to slow the trend!

No, police concluded after 2 weeks that it was actually stolen and the insurance claim is in progress.

No information or sightings. Assume it's probably overseas by now, or stripped for parts. :evil

That's a bit poo. Sorry to hear that min.

Here's hoping you get the amount you need from the insurance to get you back on two wheels.

It's not mine, it's a dude from work. He's picked up a bike for the winter and it looks like he's getting a sensible insurance payout, so he's back on the road and not *too* much out of pocket.

Lesson learnt for him though: always secure your bike!
